Company Overview:

Compass Access Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing cutting-edge matting solutions tailored for the Canadian energy and infrastructure sectors. We are on the lookout for a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee the strategic planning, execution, and management of all financial operations.

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the President, the ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reporting while collaborating with Senior Managers to steer financial strategies and execute business decisions. This pivotal leadership role demands exceptional business insight, communication prowess, and a strong grasp of performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee comprehensive financial accounting functions, including accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement internal controls to protect financial transactions and assets.
  • Monitor cash flow to meet financial obligations and enhance return on investment.
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to finalize capital requests and financial budgets, utilizing historical data as needed.
  • Analyze, report, and leverage key performance indicators to foster business enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of models for tender and bidding processes.
  • Conduct banking operations, including deposits and payments.
  • Prepare tax filings, financial statements, analyses, and reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and payroll remittances.
  • Generate monthly, annual, and various financial reports to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards, regulations, and internal control systems.
  • Supervise and manage rental fleet inventory based on operational data.
  • Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost savings across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; professional credentials such as CPA or CA are mandatory.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial statements, interpreting KPIs, and generating forecasts and budgets.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills.
  • A commitment to driving change and making a significant impact within the organization.
  • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Business Central is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining safety standards.

Work Environment:

Compass Access Solutions provides a supportive work atmosphere and a competitive compensation package.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 annually
