Adecco is seeking an IT Infrastructure Server Technician

Our client is looking for a skilled IT Infrastructure Server Technician to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server management and administration, with experience in migration and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities:
  • Migrate servers to new domains and implement new infrastructure for net-new server builds
  • Build physical rack servers and install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows servers
  • Create VMware servers, provision storage and backup configurations, and ensure compliance with security regulations
  • Administer key solutions on Windows and Unix/Linux systems, manage VMware/ESX systems, and implement software OS and firmware updates
  • Provide L2 support for IS server infrastructure and systems, diagnose and troubleshoot complex server issues, and collaborate with IS lead to resolve physical server failures
Requirements:
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in project management
  • Strong understanding of server domain architecture, excellent communication skills, and ability to self-prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
