Credit Risk Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Lending Services department by analyzing customer loan applications, determining customer affordability, and making recommendations for loan approvals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough credit analysis of customer loan applications, including reviewing credit history, employment, and income.
- Develop and implement risk assessments to determine the creditworthiness of customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Direct experience in credit analysis and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office and credit decisioning software.
This is a standard office-based role with non-standard hours not being a common occurrence. The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French due to serving English-speaking clientele.
