About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Sphere Immigration Inc. as a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks to support the financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and other reports as required by management.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial applications.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, organized, reliable, and able to work independently.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced office environment with a dynamic team. The position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
