About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Padgett Pros Inc. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
