Job Title: Bin Erector

We are seeking a skilled Bin Erector to join our team at Patersongrain in Winnipeg, MB. As a Bin Erector, you will be responsible for building and erecting grain bins, steel structures, and towers in our new grain facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Construct and assemble grain bins, steel structures, and towers in accordance with technical plans and specifications.
  2. Review and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate construction.
  3. Layout and install building components, including beams, columns, girts, purlins, baseplates, and gussets.
  4. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  5. Install and connect metal decking, safety netting, and edge rails.
  6. Lift and guide components into position using machinery.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Bin Erector.
  2. Ability to read blueprints and work at heights with cranes.
  3. Ticket in Aerial Work Platform and Fall Protection required.
  4. Experience with pre-engineered steel structure erection.
  5. Considerable knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in bin erecting.
  6. Specific grain terminal or mill experience considered an asset.
  7. Experience in bin jacking and bin erection considered an asset.
  8. Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License and transportation to and from site required.
