Bin Erector

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Bin Erectors to join our team at Patersongrain in Winnipeg, MB.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Grain Bin Construction: Build and erect grain bins, steel structures, and towers in our new grain facility, ensuring timely completion and adherence to technical specifications.
2. Technical Planning: Review and interpret technical plans drawn by engineers and supervisors, applying knowledge of construction and agricultural construction principles.
3. Layout and Installation: Layout building components per project drawings, following technical specifications, and install beams, columns, girts, purlins, baseplates, and gussets.
4. Tool Operation: Safely operate hand and power tools, including cranes, to lift and guide components into position.
5. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Bin Erector, with a strong background in construction and agricultural construction.
2. Technical Skills: Capability of reading blueprints, working at heights, and operating aerial work platforms and fall protection equipment.
3. Education and Certifications: Possession of a valid Manitoba Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License and transportation to and from site required.
4. Additional Requirements: Considerable knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in bin erecting, with experience in pre-engineered steel structure erection and bin jacking and bin erection considered an asset.
