Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Haul Trucks: Drive lighter, special purpose trucks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods at various locations, including construction sites.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Ensure Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Area of Specialization: Rigging and handling experience an asset.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willingness to travel regularly and work varied hours.
Working Conditions
