We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Farm Laborer to join our team at eNature Greenhouses Inc.
Job Summary:The Farm Laborer will be responsible for performing various tasks related to farming, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have basic knowledge of farming practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
- Clean and maintain greenhouses, including removing weeds and debris.
- Mix and apply fertilizers to crops.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery.
- Detect and address disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
- Perform manual labor tasks, such as hand harvesting and cleaning crops.
- Assist in the cultivation of crops on vertical farming systems.
- Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of farming practices.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
The Farm Laborer will work in a rural area, with exposure to hot and wet/damp conditions. The work environment will be non-smoking, and the candidate will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.
