Role: Emergency Department Security Patrol
Location: Healthcare Facility
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Continental Nights
Compensation: $18.46 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Site Overview:
Our security team is proud to serve one of Canada's largest academically affiliated tertiary care hospitals, renowned for its specialized programs in various medical fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents within the hospital environment.
- Prepare reports and investigate routine incidents.
- Respond promptly to emergency codes and situations.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service skills while assisting individuals in distress.
- Maintain physical fitness to perform duties effectively, including prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Monitor and escalate security concerns within the facility.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to develop security plans for high-risk patients.
- Provide a visible security presence throughout the facility.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts.
- Support patient watch guards as needed.
- Work in close coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.
- Assist with patient restraints as directed by standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and maintain compliance.

Qualifications:
- Immunization Record: TB, MMR, Varicella.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification Level C.
- Vulnerable Sector Check to be completed upon hire.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Minimum 1-2 years of security experience.
- Diploma in Justice Studies or Police Foundations is an asset.
