Position: Healthcare Security Officer

Shift Schedule: Rotating Continental Shifts

Compensation: $18.46 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both proactive and reactive security patrols while responding to various incidents
  • Document occurrences and investigate standard incidents
  • Act swiftly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service abilities
  • Maintain physical fitness to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods
  • Monitor security issues and assist in crafting security strategies for high-risk patients
  • Employ verbal de-escalation methods to handle conflicts
  • Collaborate closely with law enforcement and emergency response teams
  • Ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors
  • Comply with hospital regulations and protocols

Requirements:

  • Proof of immunizations
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • 1-2 years of relevant security experience
  • Diploma in Justice Studies or Police Foundations is advantageous
