Senior Technical Lead – Application Services

The Senior Technical Lead, Application Services will guide a dedicated team of technologists committed to delivering exceptional products and solutions. This position involves comprehensive responsibilities in product management, delivery oversight, quality assurance, and technical leadership, alongside mentoring and developing team members in a collaborative atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead application development initiatives through the software development lifecycle, emphasizing performance, scalability, and security.
  • Foster communication with stakeholders to cultivate and manage relationships.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team regarding solution design, capabilities, and agile product development methodologies.
  • Direct an agile product team to ensure high standards of quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Serve as a liaison among architects, business analysts, and the development team.
  • Champion automation and design thinking within the team.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the application development technology vision and strategy.
  • Oversee technical solutions, technology stack management, and security testing.
  • Coordinate team workload, initiatives, and projects, ensuring commitments to clients are met.
  • Evaluate delivery processes for effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Define, update, and disseminate best practices for web application development within the technology stack.
  • Ensure comprehensive technical assurance, governance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with other domain leaders to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Provide technical leadership, promote a collaborative team environment, and offer coaching and feedback to team members (both onsite and offshore).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree from a university or a diploma from a community college.
  • In-depth understanding of product lifecycle and development methodologies.
  • Experience in designing cloud-based applications.
  • Proficient in software concepts for mobile platforms, including Android and iOS.
  • Proven experience in mentoring junior team members and ensuring code quality.
  • Familiarity with securing applications against common security threats (OWASP Standards).
  • Awareness of current industry trends and development techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate consensus among stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

  • Understanding of integration approaches and Azure Cloud services.
  • Proficient in both front-end and back-end development.
