Senior Technical Lead – Application Services

The Senior Technical Lead, Application Services is tasked with guiding a team of dedicated technologists committed to delivering superior products and solutions. This role involves comprehensive management of product delivery, quality assurance, technical leadership, and fostering the growth of team members in a collaborative setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead application development initiatives through the software development lifecycle, emphasizing performance, scalability, and security. Engage with relevant stakeholders to cultivate and maintain relationships. Provide strategic guidance to the team regarding solution architecture, capabilities, and agile product development methodologies. Direct an agile product team to ensure optimal quality, performance, and scalability. Serve as a liaison among architects, business analysts, and the development team. Champion automation and innovative design thinking within the team. Contribute to the vision and strategy for application development technologies. Ensure technical solutions, technology stack management (including code deployments), and security assessments are executed effectively. Coordinate the team's workload, initiatives, and projects to meet customer commitments. Evaluate delivery processes for effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Define, update, and disseminate best practices for web application development related to the technology stack. Oversee end-to-end technical assurance, governance, and best practices implementation. Collaborate closely with other domain leaders to enhance operational effectiveness. Provide technical mentorship, foster a collaborative environment, and offer constructive feedback to team members (both onsite and offshore).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

4+ years of relevant and progressive experience. A degree from a university or a diploma from a community college. In-depth understanding of product lifecycle and development methodologies. Experience in designing cloud-based applications. Proficient in software development concepts for Android and iOS platforms. Proven experience mentoring junior developers, ensuring code quality, and promoting best practices. Familiarity with securing applications against common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Standards). Awareness of current industry trends and development techniques for solution building. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to facilitate consensus among stakeholders. Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Technical Skills

Experience with application development platforms and technology stacks. Understanding of integration strategies and Azure Cloud services. Proficient in both front-end and back-end development.
