Position Overview:
The HR Operations Specialist will be responsible for delivering essential support in employee relations and performance management, focusing primarily on the Distribution Centre, Logistics, and Store teams. This role may also extend assistance to other departments as necessary.

This position is hybrid, requiring three days of onsite presence at the Distribution Centre. Future adjustments may involve transitioning to a new facility.

Compensation: $60,000-$65,000

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Addressing and resolving employee relations inquiries through various communication channels.
  2. Providing coaching and insights on a range of topics, collaborating with management on complex employee relations, performance coaching, succession planning, and compensation recommendations.
  3. Sharing best practices with franchisees and directing them to external resources when necessary.
  4. Preparing various employee correspondence as needed.
  5. Conducting exit interviews and termination discussions, addressing employee queries and feedback.
  6. Managing leaves of absence, return-to-work processes, and modified duties.
  7. Assisting with payroll audits, including timecard reviews and follow-ups on discrepancies.
  8. Utilizing HRIS (Workday) for administrative support, including managing recruitment, hiring, and status changes.
  9. Providing employment verification to external parties.
  10. Facilitating HR orientations for new hires.
  11. Engaging in employee engagement initiatives and social committees.
  12. Participating in Health & Safety Committees and related initiatives.
  13. Supporting various HR projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management is preferred.
  • CHRP designation or in progress is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources administration is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting Human Resources client groups, particularly in performance management and employee relations, is preferred.

  • Comfortable working in a distribution centre environment, providing in-person support.

Additional Information:
The majority of work hours will align with standard office hours, with occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as needed.

Must be comfortable working onsite three days a week in a distribution centre environment.
