We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who is versatile and detail-oriented for their operations. This organization is rapidly expanding within the metal industry, managing multiple sites across North America. Your primary focus will be on administrative human resource functions for a growing number of branches, with no travel obligations. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Engage in comprehensive recruitment processes.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions across various regions.
- Evaluate candidates, conduct interviews, check references, prepare job offers, and negotiate employment contracts.
- Assist employees in understanding their health benefits, and manage the completion of compensation and benefits documentation.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new hires, support performance management, role development, and employee separations.
- Address employee issues, conflicts, and requests for policy modifications.
- Serve as a key contact for HR policies, guidelines, and procedures, as well as compliance with provincial employment standards.
- Stay informed on provincial and federal employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets related to key performance indicators.
- Perform administrative tasks and data entry as necessary.
- Keep records related to performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct file audits to ensure all necessary employee documentation is collected and maintained.
- Complete exit paperwork and assist with exit interviews.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR.
- Familiarity with ADP is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee development.
- Strong administrative skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
