Job Overview:

Parsons Corporation is in search of a talented Mechanical Engineer to enhance our team and play a vital role in significant transit initiatives across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical engineering and design tasks for various transit infrastructures such as subway and light rail transit stations, maintenance facilities, parking garages, tunnels, and more;
  • Create comprehensive calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, and other essential materials for construction;
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to formulate design concepts and oversee project management;
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant codes and standards;
  • Conduct site visits for inspections;
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineers and technologists;
  • Commission mechanical systems;
  • Effectively manage project timelines and budgets;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Strong organizational abilities and capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Prior experience in HVAC, fire protection, and process systems design;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer registration;
  • Proven leadership in guiding junior staff;
  • Experience in the local market with strong connections in the transit sector;
  • Background in designing industrial systems for transit maintenance facilities;
