Join Our Team as a Research Scientist Co-op Student

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Research Scientist Co-op Student to contribute to our team at TechInsights Inc. As a Research Scientist Co-op Student, you will play a vital role in assisting us to achieve our objectives by conducting ongoing research, evaluating potential solutions, and proficiently prototyping proof-of-concept applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure challenges are well understood.
  • Gather ideas from background knowledge, scientific journals, and industry experts to generate hypotheses for potential solutions.
  • Rapidly prototype proof-of-concept solutions to quickly identify the most effective ideas.
  • Apply specific expertise to successfully turn the best ideas into high-quality beta applications and then scale up to production software applications.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary student enrolled in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud compute resources, as well as massively parallel processing using Graphics Processing Units (GPUs).
  • Familiarity with image processing, machine learning, and neural networks.
  • Strong analytical problem diagnosis skills.
  • Ability to independently find, organize, and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated record of learning rapidly and mastering diverse techniques.
  • Tenacity, persistence, and an inquisitive mindset.
