About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at New Best Care Medical Clinic. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication: Interview patients to obtain case histories, schedule and confirm appointments, and complete insurance and other claim forms.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential medical files and records, and initiate and maintain electronic medical reports and correspondence.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our healthcare team, including maintaining filing systems, preparing spreadsheets and documents for review, and entering data into our electronic medical records system.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a medical administrative role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Setting: Clinic or physician's office environment.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
