Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Assistant to contribute to the financial operations at CDI College. Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Manager of Student Finance. Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Job ResponsibilitiesThe Financial Assistant plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating financial resources for students, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and delivering essential accounting services. The key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily financial activities of the institution.
- Analyzing financial data to proactively address issues.
- Collecting payments for educational materials and establishing payment plans with students.
- Assisting students in securing necessary funding.
- Generating comprehensive monthly financial reports.
- Collaborating with the educational team regarding returning students.
- Working with the education team to support students facing challenges.
- Enhancing the student experience through administrative support.
- Ensuring adherence to internal and external financial policies and standards.
- Upholding the institution's standards in all interactions.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A completed post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Finance; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in accounting or finance within a service-oriented environment.
- A combination of education and experience that meets the requirements.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good judgment and prioritization skills.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Understanding of the services provided by CDI College.
- A professional demeanor with a commitment to quality service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
