Job Overview

The Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and completing repairs required on Victor Energy's heavy equipment, including excavators, derrick booms, skid steer, drive heads, loaders, picker trucks, tracked carriers, semi-trucks, automotive, and support equipment. The successful candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, as well as repair and adjust all necessary mechanical components, including hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service the fleet in the shop
  • Get quotes for parts required for repairs
  • Ensure Company equipment is maintained in good working condition

Requirements

  • CVIP Certification Asset
  • Class 5 driver's license with acceptable abstract; Class 1 license preferred and reliable transportation
  • Experience with all aspects of off-road equipment, truck, and transport equipment, automotive, and small engine equipment
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing various Cat/JD/KW/FL/JD equipment
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Familiar with computer diagnostic equipment (Cat ET, Cummins, Navistar, SIS 2.0)
