Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist will spearhead the formulation and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at enhancing the Speedo brand and expanding its market presence. This role is pivotal in driving the brand's growth within the Canadian market and may evolve to encompass additional Pentland Brands in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and seasonal plans for significant marketing initiatives and product launches.
  • Oversee a continuous marketing process to ensure timely delivery of campaign materials and consumer engagement activities.
  • Design and execute tactics to strengthen brand presence across various marketing channels, including public relations, social media, paid advertising, ambassador programs, event marketing, and retail merchandising.
  • Create and deliver marketing briefs to internal and external creative teams, guiding the creative process effectively.
  • Manage sponsorships and cultivate relationships to drive sales growth through strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop brand concepts that enhance the visibility of Speedo athletes and product innovations.
  • Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across marketing, product, sales, operations, and finance, as well as external marketing agencies.
  • Work closely with the Speedo International Brand Marketing team to ensure alignment of Canadian marketing tactics with global strategies.
  • Identify consumer trends by building relationships with key consumer groups and staying informed on market dynamics.
  • Customize project trackers and timelines to effectively manage individual marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing consumer products, with a strong understanding of in-store merchandising requirements.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation and evaluation, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Broad knowledge of various marketing functions.
  • Passionate about creating and implementing innovative consumer experiences in retail environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively and build relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of retail business models and partner marketing relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
