About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Taco Time. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Recruit and hire staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and high-quality food production.
Requirements
  • Culinary certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
