Fashion Merchandising Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and fashion-forward Assistant Buyer to join our team at RW&CO. As a key member of our buying team, you will play a crucial role in selecting and managing our seasonal fashion collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the buying team to identify and select fashion trends and styles that align with our brand aesthetic
  • Work closely with the Group Product Manager and Product Manager to prepare and review product information, including product descriptions, pricing, and inventory levels
  • Ensure all product information is accurate and up-to-date, including product labels, packaging, and advertising materials
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including look books and purchase order books
  • Participate in product meetings and provide input on product development and merchandising strategies

Requirements:

  • University degree or College diploma in Fashion Merchandising or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related role, preferably in the fashion industry
  • Excellent knowledge of fashion trends and styles, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for fashion
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of competitive landscape and market trends
