About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fashion Merchandising Assistant to join our team at Reitmans. As an Assistant to a fashion buyer, your role will be to provide support to the buying team in all capacities, combining your passion for fashion with your analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Product Management team in the selection of programs and products
  • Prepare best sellers with Group Product Manager or Product Manager and attend fit sessions when required
  • Review and ensure accuracy of product information, including photo samples, labels, and advertising materials
  • Update and maintain all documentation, such as look books and purchase order books
  • Create and maintain all necessary information in systems
  • Prepare and attend meetings with the buying team and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • University degree or College diploma in Fashion Merchandising
  • Minimum 1 year related experience in a fashion merchandising or buying role
  • Excellent sense of style and knowledge of fashion trends
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good understanding of the competitive landscape and fashion trends
