In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom-engineered equipment and automation solutions within the CANDU nuclear industry. Your expertise in 3D CAD software, FEA analysis, and CAM programming will be crucial to ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom-engineered equipment for nuclear applications, adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize 3D CAD software (preference for Inventor/Solidworks) to create detailed engineering drawings and models.
  • Perform FEA analysis using ANSYS software to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of equipment designs.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technicians, and regulatory specialists.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a current Professional Engineer (PEO) license.
  • Demonstrated experience in the manufacture of custom-engineered equipment and automation within the nuclear industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor/Solidworks preferred), FEA software (ANSYS), and CAM software.
  • Extensive on-site experience at a CANDU nuclear operating plant is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of CSA Nuclear Codes and Standards, as well as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and Standards.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position in Ontario is expected to be between $78,000.00 and $121,000.00 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, BWXT offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, retirement, and other valuable perks.
