About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at OneSky Community Resources. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to develop and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead engaging activities, such as storytelling, singing, and outings, to stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Stay up-to-date with licensing regulations and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
