About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at OneSky Community Resources. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, maintaining their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Lead activities, such as storytelling, singing, and outings, to stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Assist in keeping records, submitting written observations on children's progress.
  • Engage children in activities, preparing crafts and snacks, and guiding them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
