Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for our young learners, including daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that stimulate learning and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure a smooth operation of the childcare centre.
  • Support early childhood educators in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Engage children in activities that promote healthy habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the toilet.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
Requirements
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
