Position Title: Information Security and IT Operations Specialist

Overview:

Cedeksconsulting is a dynamic and expanding organization providing specialized software solutions tailored for the insurance sector. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in a hands-on capacity, where you will take ownership of critical responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in IT, cyber security, and SOC2 compliance.
  • A minimum of three to five years of direct experience working with Azure is essential.
  • This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
  • All necessary work equipment will be provided; however, candidates must ensure a reliable and fast internet connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee an Azure-based SIEM system (Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Review Azure Front Door WAF logs for any security-related issues.
  • Utilize security scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities and implement resolutions.
  • Manage the ticketing system to address urgent infrastructure or security concerns.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in cyber security roles.
  • Proficiency in operating, configuring, and managing cyber security tools, including intrusion prevention systems, security information and event management tools, anti-malware solutions, and spam filters.
  • Experience in evaluating requirements, designing, planning, documenting, and testing for cyber security risks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, cyber security, or a related field.
  • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to create information security documentation.
  • Experience in technical support and incident resolution.
  • Familiarity with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and other relevant cyber security regulations.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Leadership experience in IT roles within mid-sized organizations, preferably in the retail sector.
