Position Overview

The GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY HOME SUPPORT AGENCY SOCIETY is seeking dedicated individuals to provide essential support and care for clients in their homes. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent experience may also be accepted.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with bathing and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Support clients in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Provide assistance with feeding or meal preparation.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs.

  • Individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.

  • Persons with disabilities, including intellectual and mental health challenges.
