Senior Director of Specialty Pharmacy Operations

As the Senior Director of Specialty Pharmacy, you will oversee the comprehensive operations and clinical practices of our specialty pharmacy. This position is pivotal in achieving our financial, operational, and personnel objectives. You will lead a national team, ensuring operational excellence, fostering growth, and enhancing customer experiences while delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:
- Direct national pharmacy operations, establishing strategies and initiatives across the country.
- Ensure the implementation of departmental objectives, financial targets, and performance metrics.
- Guide the national pharmacy team in developing and executing processes aligned with our mission.
- Standardize operations and facilitate the rollout of national initiatives.
- Encourage collaboration among Specialty Pharmacies and other business units to drive growth.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards.
- Act as a liaison to maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage the Specialty Pharmacy's P&L, focusing on revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Analyze financial and operational data to enhance business performance and develop growth strategies.
- Oversee pharmacy inventory management and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with finance on accounts receivable and manage audits to mitigate risks.
Patient Care Excellence:
- Enhance patient satisfaction through superior service and care quality.
- Prioritize patient-centric approaches in all pharmacy operations.
Business Development:
- Lead initiatives for new business opportunities in Specialty Pharmacy.
- Engage in industry conferences to strengthen relationships and gain insights.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a diverse pharmacy team, focusing on performance, recruitment, and retention.
- Support regional leads and pharmacy staff in achieving operational goals.
Enterprise Mindset:
- Promote adherence to McKesson's core principles and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
- A valid license in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- 7-10 years of experience in pharmacy management, particularly in Specialty Pharmacy.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and management.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and drive business decisions.
