Facilities Project Engineer

As a Facilities Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Project Department at our Pulp & Paper Mill. This role involves managing and executing mechanical and civil projects, as well as capital improvement initiatives, while collaborating with various disciplines and external partners across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee mill projects from initial concept through to commissioning.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams that include engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, unionized contractors, and mill personnel to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  3. Provide support for facility programs as needed.
  4. Collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance mill operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  2. Experience in an industrial setting.
  3. Self-driven and adaptable to changing environments.
  4. 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Experience in pulp and paper engineering is advantageous.
  7. PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
