Position Overview:

The Network Analyst will be responsible for delivering comprehensive networking support, including the design and implementation of the IP network architecture for lab infrastructures and prototypes developed in collaboration with various project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and support of networking systems, ensuring optimal performance through monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical assistance in the design, deployment, and training for various Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems and other virtualization technologies, including booting from Local Area Network (LAN) systems.
  • Assist in the creation of technical specifications for the procurement of networking and computing equipment.
  • Support the identification and selection of data storage systems that align with project requirements, including the preparation of system specifications for procurement processes.
  • Facilitate the identification of security appliances that meet project needs, preparing system specifications and reviewing technical justifications.
  • Offer expertise on wireless and radio networking devices.
  • During periods of low networking activity, contribute to software application development efforts.
  • Engage in software development tasks, programming applications across various technological domains.
  • Develop and prepare diagrammatic representations for solutions addressing business, scientific, and technical challenges.
  • Analyze issues presented by systems analysts/designers, selecting and integrating appropriate software solutions.
  • Modify and create code, design methods and procedures for small computer systems, and develop, test, and implement small systems and subsystems of larger systems.
  • Provide technical support for all other aspects of computing and communication systems within the lab and prototypes as directed.

Qualifications:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in an Information Technology-related field with a focus on networking is required.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of five years of relevant practical experience as a Network Analyst within the last decade, along with a valid CCNA certification, is acceptable.
  • At least six months of hands-on experience in network configuration and maintenance is necessary.
