Job Summary:
The Automotive Seating Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative automotive seating systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of functional requirements, system design, and engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define functional requirements and develop system design specifications.
- Develop system design models, including DVPR, DFMEA, and function models.
- Release component performance specifications, drawings, and system validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to ensure seamless integration.
- Define parameters and standards for critical systems and integrate them into CAD design templates.
Requirements:
- Hybrid role with occasional travel to the US for meetings.
- Must be located in Windsor.
- BSME or BSEE or equivalent Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited University is required.
- Years of experience in vehicle build and manufacturing, with a focus on Automotive Seat Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing, and Assembly.
- Ability to understand and react to multidisciplinary engineering fields.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to read lab procedures.
- Great communication skills.
