Valard Construction LP is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a leading utility contractor in Canada, we offer a unique opportunity to work on various projects across the country.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to work on our utility construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, including groundwork, equipment operation, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform groundwork tasks, including excavation, grading, and backfilling.
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, skid-steer loaders, and dump trucks.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and tools.
  • Work safely and follow all health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in utility work.
  • DZ license and a clear driver's abstract.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and working at heights.
