Commercial Property Underwriting Specialist

This position plays a vital role in supporting our Commercial Property and Casualty Team with a strong emphasis on client retention and the renewal of underwriting business.

We currently operate in a hybrid model, with the expectation that all team members will regularly attend our office.

You will assist brokers by being proactive and strategic, working towards delivering competitive solutions for their clients while enhancing and broadening your underwriting expertise in a dynamic environment.


Risk Assessment and Business Placement:
Maintain a thorough understanding of underwriting guidelines from various carriers and both domestic and international markets.
Ensure high-quality submissions are presented to markets.
Conduct timely reviews of inspections to confirm the quality of risks.
Stay updated on underwriting practices and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
Assist in managing the priorities and workload of junior underwriters on your team.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
A minimum of 2 years of full-time underwriting experience is essential, with MGA experience being an advantage.
Candidates should hold a CIP, CRM, or similar designations or be actively pursuing them.
A broker license (Level 1 or 2) is required, or the ability to qualify for a license within a specified timeframe.
You are driven by ambitious goals and consistently track your performance metrics.
