Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in general science, math, and physics classes to post-secondary students in a wide variety of programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver instructional assignments using appropriate delivery methods.
  • Manage the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
  • Evaluate and record student progress using appropriate methods.
  • Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
  • Accommodate students with special learning needs.
  • Attend staff, program, and division meetings.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current with industry and educational requirements.
  • Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Master of Science (Physics or Mathematics/Statistics).
  • Two years' recent relevant business or industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork.
  • Effective instructional skills.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
