Arts and Sciences Coordinator

The Arts and Sciences Coordinator is an academic support person and liaison for the department of Arts and Sciences, supporting both the Saskatoon and Prince Albert campuses. This role serves as the primary point of contact for regional colleges who broker Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs, assisting with the coordination of resources and performing quality assurance checks both in person and virtually.
Key Responsibilities- Be the liaison between the department of Arts and Sciences and regional colleges, serving as the first point of contact for regional colleges and scheduling and performing in-person and virtual quality assurance checks for regional college instructors.
- Support departmental initiatives, including assisting the Program Heads in the execution of strategic initiatives for the department, seeking and developing technology-enhanced learning opportunities, and furthering the Indigenization of content.
- Support the Program Heads in the daily operation of program activities relating to program delivery and student matters, including being the first point of contact for student inquiries, assisting with the coordination of transfer credit and PLAR requests, and coordinating invigilation for exams.
- Perform instructor duties, including curriculum development, providing instruction as required, and managing the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
- Academic qualifications in one of the following Arts and Sciences subject areas: Communications, Mathematics/Statistics, Sociology, Indigenous Studies, or Anatomy & Physiology.
- Recent/relevant work experience (2 years in the last 5).
- Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork.
- Ability to develop new initiatives and develop curriculum.
