About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at RASOI EAST INDIAN AND HAKKA CHINESE CUISINE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including East Indian and Hakka Chinese cuisine, to meet the demands of our restaurant.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage kitchen supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure high-quality food and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a focus on cultural cuisine.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability and teamwork skills are essential.
