About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Momo House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and cooking meals, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our diverse customer base.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and served in a safe and sanitary manner, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen operation that meets the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and ready to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and management to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work under pressure
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, reliability, team player, and time management
