Job Summary:

The Heavy Truck Sales Representative will be responsible for selling heavy trucks and trailers to existing and potential clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong understanding of the heavy trucking industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, trade-in allowances, warranties and delivery dates
  • Oversee the preparation of sales and orders
  • Prepare sales or other contracts
  • Promote sales to existing clients
  • Identify and solicit potential clients
  • Deliver sales presentations
  • Use sales forecasting software
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
  • Reach to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support
  • Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services
  • Provide customer service
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
  • Manage contracts
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
  • Conduct sales calls
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in the heavy trucking industry
