Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join our client’s team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers flexibility with two days of remote work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations of general ledger accounts and prepare financial analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing insights into variances.
- Address inquiries from management and operational teams regarding the analyses generated and the internal financial reports.
- Examine inventory adjustments to understand their implications, identify discrepancies, and make necessary adjustment entries while ensuring proper follow-up.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for external auditors.
- Generate, verify, and record necessary adjusting entries in the general ledger.
- Account for, verify, and analyze specific incurred expenses while ensuring adherence to internal control measures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Experience in a publicly traded company.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or JDE.
- Possess strong business and operational insight.
- Exhibit a methodical and analytical approach to tasks.
- Demonstrate autonomy and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Maintain a solution-oriented mindset.
