About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Progressive Rubber Industries Inc. As a key member of our design and development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our mechanical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure they meet our specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Communication: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure our products meet our high standards of quality and performance.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our design, development, and manufacturing teams to ensure the successful execution of our projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
