We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Musculoskeletal Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Trillium Health Partners. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating WSIB services, liaising with healthcare professionals, and providing therapy services to clients with musculoskeletal disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate WSIB services with healthcare professionals and administrative staff
- Liaise with WSIB and community healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Review and interpret reports, facilitate case conferences with WSIB, and participate in business benchmarking and clinical outcome measures
- Coach, mentor, and develop other healthcare professionals within the program
- Provide therapy services to clients with musculoskeletal disorders, referred by third-party payers
- Supervise PTA/OTA and work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care and recommendations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and evaluation, and contribute to the overall vision and mandate of the program
- Registration with relevant regulatory body (Ontario College of Physiotherapists or College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario)
- Membership with relevant Association (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in an ambulatory care setting
- Previous experience in clinical musculoskeletal dysfunction, completion of FAEs, work/functional evaluation, work conditioning/hardening, and return to work strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing services with a strong quality improvement focus to third-party payers, including WSIB
- Customer and client-centered approach to delivery excellent service, clinically and administratively
- Evidence of continuing education, professional, and personal development
- Reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional able to work effectively and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
- Exercises initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
- Strong ability to successfully coach, develop, and mentor allied health professionals and physicians to improve program quality
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
