Accurately receiving, documenting, and relaying orders in accordance with established protocols. Executing prescribed methods for conducting various X-ray examinations, including equipment adjustments and patient positioning. Assessing the appropriate techniques for ionizing radiation during imaging procedures. Preparing necessary chemical mixtures for imaging, including barium preparations. Monitoring patient conditions throughout procedures and documenting any irregularities. Developing radiographic films following established photographic standards. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the X-ray room and associated equipment. Preparing patients for imaging by explaining procedures and assisting them throughout the process.Qualifications
To be considered for the role of Radiology Technologist, candidates must possess:
A degree from an ARRT accredited program. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current CPR certification, along with any required state certifications or licenses. A minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic imaging.
