We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to dietary requirements and nutritional standards.
- Collaborate with dietitians and chefs to prepare special meals for patients, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities and exceptional customer satisfaction.
As an Executive Chef at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with repetitive tasks and varying temperatures.
