About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced tax professional to join our team as a Tax Expert. As a Tax Expert with Intuit, you will work directly with clients to prepare their tax return, provide tax guidance, and help troubleshoot their tax questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax returns for clients using professional tax preparation software
  • Provide tax guidance and support to clients
  • Help troubleshoot tax questions and resolve issues
  • Work collaboratively with clients to understand their tax needs and provide personalized solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant tax preparation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience
  • Minimum of 125 tax returns prepared per tax season for the last 3 years
  • Experience preparing and filing end-to-end customer personal returns consisting of a variety of topics, including employment, self-employment, rental, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all credits/deductions
  • Have a current and active CRA RepID (representative identifier) to allow your use of the CRA Represent a Client service
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts
  • Superior critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly technical and comfortable with Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Flexibility in availability and scheduling
  • Strong customer service and customer experience acumen
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and French + read, write, speak) is considered a strong asset
