Job Title: Temporary Part-Time Reading Recovery Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Temporary Part-Time Reading Recovery Teacher to join our team at School District #60 (Peace River North). As a Reading Recovery Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students who are struggling with reading and providing them with the necessary skills to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one reading instruction to students who are struggling with reading
  • Develop and implement individualized reading plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that students are receiving consistent and high-quality reading instruction
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience working with students who are struggling with reading
  • Strong knowledge of reading instruction and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
