The University of Ottawa is seeking candidates for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) dedicated to Supporting Indigenous Health and Well-being. The successful applicant will be offered a tenure-track role at the Associate or Full Professor level within one of the Faculty's Schools that aligns with their area of expertise. We are particularly interested in established Indigenous Scholars who have a research agenda that emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous communities to enhance health and well-being. The research focus should resonate with themes related to Health, Sports, and Reconciliation.
Situated on the unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin people, the University of Ottawa stands as the first and largest bilingual university in North America. The Chairholder will engage with a community of researchers working alongside Indigenous populations within the Faculty. Collaboration with other faculties, hospital-based research institutes, and research centers is expected.
Tier 1 Chairs are designated for exceptional researchers recognized as leaders in their respective fields. Candidates must possess a Ph.D., demonstrate outstanding research accomplishments, have a proven record in teaching and mentorship, secure external research funding, and exhibit strong communication skills in either English or French.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline
- Essential Qualifications: Independent research accomplishments, teaching experience, external funding acquisition, and effective communication skills
Position Rank and Compensation: Regular tenure-track academic appointment within the Faculty of Science. Salaries will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
