Job Summary:The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Education. This position is part of the Faculty of Education's commitment to Indigenous education and research.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research in Indigenous education and its intersection with other fields such as policy studies, health profession education, and social studies.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Indigenous education and related fields.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
- Secure external research funding and collaborate with other researchers.
- Ph.D. in Education or a related field.
- Excellent track record of research in Indigenous education and its intersection with other fields.
- Ability to teach and supervise students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other researchers.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Ability to teach in both English and French.
- Experience securing external research funding.
